Stable Sessions
Sometimes the most meaningful thing we can do is become present enough to recognize what is already happening.
More About Stable Sessions
Stable Sessions are designed to be a 75-minute getaway of sorts, where we make intentional space for presence, reflection, emotional awareness, and genuine connection. There is nothing you need to accomplish before you come. You simply show up. From there, we slow things down.
Through guided interaction with a horse, you are invited to notice what is happening around you and within you — your breathing, emotions, body language, boundaries, reactions, and the way you naturally approach connection.
You may spend time grooming, leading, walking alongside the horse, observing the herd, or standing quietly together.
Why horses?
Horses invite us into the present moment. They respond to subtle changes in our posture, attention, and emotions — making the formation of relationships with them more deeply embodied. Emerging research on horse-human interaction also suggests that physiological and behavioral attunement can occur between horses and people, giving researchers greater insight into the role of connection and regulation in these interactions.
The horse becomes a companion in the process — inviting awareness, honest response, patience, and a different kind of listening.
You do not need horse experience.
Sessions are designed for all types of people, so little to no horse experience is required. You will be guided throughout each session, and experiences are adapted to your comfort and ability.
Every session is different.
Sessions naturally create opportunities to notice things like: presence and body awareness, personal space and boundaries, communication, patience, trust, pressure and release, frustration, connection, and letting go of control. We do not arrive with a predetermined lesson to teach. Instead, we pay attention to what happens in the here and now.
Stable Sessions might be good for you if…
You have been feeling hurried, distracted, disconnected, or completely overwhelmed. You want to become more emotionally aware and are curious about what horses can teach us. You spend much of your time caring for others, but not yourself. You just love horses and want to be around them.
